ENGLISH LESSON PLAN

TOPIC: TRANSPORTATION

I/Aims and objectives:

 1. Aims:   

– Introduce the words of “transportation”: motorbike, airplane, truck.

– Introduce the structures:

+ “What transportation is it?”  → It is a motorbike/ a airplane/ a truck.

+What do you see? → I see motorbike, airplane, truck.

2. Objectives:

a. Knowledge:

– Children know and use 3 words: motorbike, airplane, truck.

-Children can use the structures: what transportation is it? → It is a motorbike/ a airplane/ a truck.

b. Skills:

– Children pronounce 3 words (motorbike, airplane, truck) correctly, naturally, confidently, follow teachers model actions and sayings.

– Develop listening and speaking.

c. Attitudes:

– Children are interested in lesson.

– Children take part in the activites actively.

II/ Preparation

1. Environment

   –  In the room where is safe, large enough for children to help them feel comfortable.

   – Children sit on the chair into U-shaped.

2. Visual aids:

   – Motorbike, airplane, truck.

   – Games: “What is missing”, “Roll the ball”

   – Songs: “The wheels on the bus” (fun songs for children) and “The hokey pokey shake” (kids dance song).

3. Tools:

   – TV, USB.

IV/ Proceduce

1.Warm up (3-5 minutes) * Greeting and warm up: –  Hello children! – How are you today?   + I’m hungry. Are you hungry? + Are you happy? + Do you want to sing a song? + Ok children. Stand up. 2.Content ( 15-20 minutes) *Act1: Introduce the words and structures: *motorbike – Are you ready to learn? – Today, I have a gift. Now children, close your eyes – 1, 2, 3 open your eyes. What is it? Š It is a box. – Teacher shook the box and says: Oh, many things. – Who can want to come here and put one your hand into the box and take out? – A, come here. – Children put one hand in the box and took out then the teacher asked the children: “What do you see?” -Teacher says: motorbike – Whole class say: motorbike – Teacher asks children: “What transportation is it?” Children anwer: “It is a motorbike” – Whole class read 2-3 times, group read, personal read. – Ask some children to repeat and check their pronuciation. – Where is the motorbike?   *airplane – Teacher shook the box and says: Oh! In the box is still the thing + Who can help me? + B, come here. You will put one hand into the box and took out. + Then the teacher asked the children: “What do you see?” – Teacher says: airplane. – Now, children say: airplane. – Whole class read 2-3 times, group read, personal read. – Teacher asks children: “What transportation is it?” Children anwer: “It is a airplane”. – Whole class read 2-3 time. – Ask some children to repeat and check their pronuciation. – Where is the airplane?   *truck – Now, I have the last transportation + Who can help me? + C, come here. You will put one hand into the box and took out. – Teacher says: truck. – Now, children: “Repeat after me: Truck” – Teacher asks children: “What transportation is it?” Children anwer: “It is a truck”. – Whole class read 2-3 time. – Ask some children to repeat and check their pronuciation. – Where is the truck?   *Act 2: Practice with games: Game 1: What is missing +  Children, do you want to play game with me? + There are 3 pictures. + When teacher say “ Close your eyes” the children close their eyes. + Take away one picture behind children and says “Open your eyes”, the teacher ask “What is the missing?” and the children must guess which picture is missing. + Ask the children to find the missing picture around class “Who can help me to find it?” + Ask the whole class to repeat the sentence. + Get the children to play this game 4 – 5 times. – Game 2: Roll the ball +  Children, do you want to play a game? + Teacher will put 3 transportation on 3 chair. Then call 1 children to play. + When teacher say name of the transportation children will roll the ball into the transportation + Get the children to play this game 3-4 times       + Yes, I’am. + Children close your eyes + It is a box             + I see motorbike       + Children repeat. + I t is a motorbike           + On the street             + I see airplane     + Children repeat     + It is a airplane           + Fly in the sky               + Children repeat + It is truck         + On the street       +Yes, I do     + Children play a game                             +Yes, I do +Children play a game
3.Conclusion   (3-5 minutes) -“Do you like to sing a song?” ( The hokey pokey shake song) -“Today, you learn very well.Clap your hand. It’s time to say goodbye. Goodbye and see you again”. + Yes, I do.   + Clap your hand + Goodbye teacher, see you again
