Story:      Pull the carrot

I/Aims and objectives.

1.Aims.

Review name of animals: rabbit, dog,cat,frog,butterfly.

Review old structures: Can you help…? Yes, I can.

                                     What is it? It is the big carrot.

Tell the story “The big carrot” to children.

2.Objectives.

– Children can understand story’s content (the title of story, the name of  characters, events of story).

– Children can understand and pronounce correctly the name of animals in the story.

– Children can answer some questions of teacher.

Ex: How many animals are there in this story?

There are 5 animals :rabbit,dog,cat,frog,butterfly

II/Preparation.

– Visual aid: + Pictures illustrate the story.

                     + Hats for role playing (rabbit,dog,cat,frog,butterfly,carrot).

III/ Produce

How are you today? – I’m fine, too. Thank you! – How is the weather? -Do you want to sing a song? – Let’s sing : “walking in the jungle:. Today, I come here with some friends. They are animals you knew in the previous lesson. Can you guess who they are? (Teacher makes action of the rabbit, the dog,the cat,the frog and the butterfly and children guess) Now let’s count to welcome them. Teacher shows the image of the rabbit, the dog,the cat,the frog and the butterfly. – Teacher pronounces the name of animals. I have a story about the rabbit, the dog,the cat,the frog and the butterfly  . The name of this story is: “The big carrot”. Would you like to listen this story? OK.Let’s listen.  – Teacher tells the story with pictures. + What is the story’s name?   + How many animals are there in this story? + What are they?   + Who help the rabbit?       – Teacher tells the story and let children tell together. And then, talks to them about the content of the story. + Do you want to role play animal in the story “ The big carrot”? + who want to be the rabbit/the dog/the cat/the frog/ the butterfly? Teacher invites 5 children to play the role of the character in story “The big carrot”.Children put on the hat of character to describle story. Teacher guides  children to role the story “the big carrot”. -Are you happy? -OK! Today,you have learnt and role played very well. -Now, it’s time to say good bye -Good bye children, see you again – I’m fine, thank you. And you?   – It’s sunny, windy…..     – children answer.       – Children repeat.                   yes     – it’s “The big carrot” – 5 animals   – rabbit, dog, cat, frog, butterfly – The dog,the cat,the frog,the butterfly.                   – Yes.   – Children describle story.  

THE BIG CARROT

This is the rabbit, he has a big carrot. One day, the rabbit wants to bring the carrot home but he can’t. Then he asks his friends to help him.

Rabbit                                     : Dog, can you help me?

Dog                                          : Yes, I can.

Rabbit                                     : Are you ready?

Dog                                         : yes
